Thanks for the comment.  As a biblical counselor, my goal is to help folks view their situation through a biblical worldview, which usually requires a good amount of teaching.  The CISM model provides a good structure for teaching folks about the way a crisis has affected them.  I&#039;ve been through many debriefings where the questions turned to a spiritual nature with folks looking to the pastor or chaplain in the intervention team to provide answers.  I can see a tremendous value in a CISM team comprised of members with a distinctly biblical worldview to serve like-minded groups in crisis.  Large scale events, such as 9/11 or Katrina, come to mind.  Such a team could be of unique service to congregations affected by the crisis.  Just as the CISM model benefits from the participation of faith practitioners, I believe that pastoral counselors can utilize many of the components of these models in one-on-one interactions with folks in crisis.</description>
